Got this from a colleague. EBNHC is part of the Boston Medical Center "family" so we want them to get someone good!
Hi – I’m writing to see if you know anyone who might be interested in a newly created marketing position at the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center http://www.ebnhc.org/.
EBNHC covers the neighborhoods of East Boston, Chelsea, Revere, Everett & Winthrop. They received some federal stimulus money and are planning to expand their facilities in these neighborhoods and will have increased capacity.
They’re looking for a senior marketing professional to take on chief marketing officer role. They never had a marketing function before, so this person would need to be someone who can operate at a high/strategic level, but be able to roll up sleeves and be hands on in execution, and have high energy. It will be a highly visible VP position within the organization – probably reporting to the CEO/president. There’s currently no marketing infrastructure, so person would be creating a program from the ground up. Staff/resources would be tight, however there would be a budget for advertising/marketing initiatives – strategy and marketing initiatives would focus on local/community level.
The patient population is ethnically diverse – large Spanish-speaking population, Portuguese, and growing North African/Moroccan, Arabic-speaking community. So ideally, person would have some ethnic marketing experience and/or speak Spanish.
Many benefits to this job, including:
